The limited number of bathrooms, with only one toilet and bathroom on the ground floor, can be a slight inconvenience for larger groups.

We had an amazing stay at this Mitcheldean cottage. The value for money was great and the room was lovely, beautifully decorated and well equipped. The location was perfect, with stunning views of fields and easy access to nearby amenities. The staff, especially Neil, were fantastic and provided excellent service throughout our stay.

We recently stayed at a lovely cottage in the Forest of Dean. The cottage was beautifully decorated, well-equipped, and easily accommodated our family of 5. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. We especially appreciated the small enclosed garden and the TV in the bedrooms. The owner was welcoming and the location was perfect for exploring the area. we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this cottage.

Drawbacks: The only small inconvenience was that there was only one bathroom/toilet for the five of us, which meant some coordination. Additionally, it would have been helpful to have a few more kitchen items, such as a large saucepan and a mixing bowl.

The lack of a mirror on the bend made pulling out of the property a bit worrisome. A mirror to enable safe departure would be a great addition.

Despite being in a rural setting, it was still convenient to access the nearby town of Mitcheldean for any supplies we needed. the small enclosed garden and sitting area were a real bonus, and we also appreciated the extra touches like TVs in most of the bedrooms and the ability to use Netflix on the main TV. we had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely consider renting this cottage again. Cons: Couldn't stay longer 😢.
